2008 Petite SirahAVA: Yakima Valley Blend:
Vineyard: McIntire Vineyard, Sunnyside Alcohol: 13.5% Production: 64 cases Harvest Dates and Brix at Harvest:
Aging:
Tasting Notes: Saturated purple-black color, nearly explosive aromas of fresh blackberries with hints of citrus peel. Medium-bodied with flavors of ripe plum and berries, and an exotic but ephemeral spice/herb note, possibly of bay leaf; vibrant, food-friendly acidity, and a long but balanced finish. Winemaker Comments: A distinctly Washington/Yakima Valley expression of Petite Sirah, grown at a barren, rocky 0.6-acre cool-climate growing site planted specifically for ANIMALE, this wine reflects both the growing site and vintage.
