Notes:

This low-profile Bordeaux varietal makes a powerful and intriguing wine when grown in Washington. From a family-farmed vineyard in the Columbia Valley's Wahluke Slope, the ANIMALE 2012 Petite Verdot has a deep black-garnet color; vibrant aromas of mixed marionberry, raspberry and blackberry pie, with exotic hints of mint; it is a full-bodied and powerful wine with flavors of black cherry, notes of pomegranate, zesty acidity and a long, powerful finish. It is suitable for long-term aging or for pairing with flavorful cuisine.
