Animale 2007 Reserve Petite Sirah Label Animale 2007 Petite Sirah Label

Reviews: 2007 Reserve Petite Sirah and 2007 Petite Sirah

Robert M. Parker Jr.'s Wine Advocate - October, 2009

2007 Reserve Petite Sirah - 92 points

2007 Petite Sirah - 89 points

Both ANIMALE 2007 Petite Sirahs were highly recommended by Wine Advocate Washington Wine reviewer Dr. Jay Miller in the October 2009 issue:

2007 Reserve Petite Sirah:

The 2007 Petite Sirah Reserve is inky black in color. The bouquet is a brooding amalgam of assorted black fruits and blueberry liqueur. Dense, rich, and impeccably balanced, Petite Sirah does not get much better than this. Drink this beast from 2015 to 2032. 92 points. Animale Winery opened its doors in 2001 and now produces 200 cases of what appears to be no-holds-barred wine.

2007 Petite Sirah:

The Petite Sirahs are another sort of animal(e) altogether. The purple/black 2007 Petite Sirah McIntire Vineyard exhibits a nose of cedar, spice box, violets, boysenberry, and plum. This leads to a medium to full-bodied, powerful wine with plenty of ripe tannin, the fruit to match, and excellent length. Like most Petite Sirahs, it will require extended cellaring of 6-8 years but it may well have a 25 year lifespan. 89 points.
